From an early age the world got to know the gorgeous singer Beyoncé Knowles as the lead singer of the girl group Destiny’s Child. The group would become one of the most successful girl groups ever. In 2003 she released her first solo album, Dangeously in Love. The album was a huge success: sold 11 million times, and won 5 Grammy Awards.
Soon after, Destiny’s Child broke up and Beyonce could successfully focus on a solo career. In 2005 she released her second album B’Day with hits as “Déjà Vu”, “Irreplaceable” and “Beautiful Liar”. In 2008 she releases her third solo album “I Am … Sasha Fierce” for which she received a record number of Grammy nominations for a female artist, six in total. Among other things, she won the prize for best song of the year “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”.
